IRANIAN ASSOCIATION FOR ENERGY ECONOMICS (IRAEE)

IRAEE was founded in February 1995 by 15 energy economic experts in Iran, and its statute was approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran.

IRAEE was affiliated with the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE). It is a non-profit and non-political organization aiming at analyzing and studying scientific, research-oriented, and technical projects concerning energy economics and energy-related issues including Oil, gas, and petrochemicals, developments of oil markets, energy auditing,  energy conservation, etc.

IRAEE has 500 permanent and affiliate members.

The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology has recognized IRAEE as one of the most distinguished and prolific Institutes in Iran since its foundation.


Major Responsibilities and Activities of IRAEE

  1. Establishing and enhancing scientific relationships among researchers and experts in energy economics at national, regional, and international levels.
    2. Cooperating with administrative and scientific institutions in order to analyze and review the researches and educational programs carried out by IRAEE.
    3. Encouraging and supporting distinguished researchers and prominent university professors.
    4. Organizing scientific conferences at national, regional, and international levels.
    5. Publishing scientific books and periodicals.

IRAEE Capabilities to undertake other projects

IRAEE is prepared to cooperate with state organizations or private sector in the following areas:

    1. Studying energy-related matters at national, regional, and international levels.
    2. Studying upstream and downstream projects on oil, gas and power.
    3. Studying global market developments on oil, gas, energy and environment.
    4. Energy conservation in residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
    5. Energy audit in factories and installations.
    6. Basic and in depth energy audits for industrial establishments such as: Electricity and fuel consumption audits for manufacturing plants and electricity consumption audits for home appliances.
    7. Management training on energy in public and specialized levels.
    8. Organizing conferences on energy-related matters in national, regional and international levels.
    9. Organizing lectures on energy economics and energy issues.
    10. Carrying out energy-related applied projects namely, energy audits for industrial establishments in Iran.
    11. Producing specialized publications and bulletins on related areas.
    12. Providing consultation services on investment on the energy sector.
    13. Providing consultation services on all related areas.
