He added: According to the information received from the meteorological and water measurement network of the Basic Studies Office, the catchment area of the Lar dam is 48.2 mm, the catchment area of the Taleghan dam is 28.6 mm, the catchment area of the Amir Kabir dam is 38.6 mm, and the catchment area of the Letian dam is 33.3 mm. mm and the catchment area of Mamlo Dam with 20 mm of rain, took a significant share of the three-day activity of these rainfall systems.
The director of the office of basic studies of water resources of Tehran Regional Water Company stated: continuous monitoring of meteorological forecasting models, planning and deployment of flood monitoring groups in different parts of the province and preparation and presentation of relevant reports are among the measures that are carried out with the efforts of colleagues. The surface water studies group was conducted on administrative holidays and in this regard, 56 flood flow monitoring operations were conducted in different parts of the province and their reports were provided to the relevant authorities.
He continued: Although with the activity of these rain systems, the first month of the current water year is faced with a 75% increase in the share of atmospheric precipitation compared to the long-term period, but based on the results of measuring river flows, due to significant poverty Soil moisture conditions, temperature drop and snow fall in the highlands, these rainfalls have made a small contribution to the increase in volume and input to the dams supplying Tehran’s drinking water sources.
